Japan Integrated Resorts - Creative Partnership Facilitation
Challenge
As Sega Sammy prepared its bid for Yokohama’s Integrated Resort project, the company sought a world-class cultural entertainment partner to help differentiate its vision. At the same time, Lune Rouge Entertainment, founded by the creator of Cirque du Soleil, was exploring opportunities to enter the Japanese market. The challenge was aligning two organizations from very different business and creative cultures around a shared vision.
Our Role
Akuntsu facilitated the partnership between Lune Rouge Entertainment and Sega Sammy, helping bridge cultural expectations, creative direction, and Japan market strategy. We supported relationship-building, communication alignment, and the development of entertainment concepts for the proposed Yokohama IR initiative. As a pilot project, “The Infinity Ball,” a live outdoor dance and drone performance, was produced in Yokohama under Lune Rouge’s creative direction.
