Challenge
As global demand for anime, manga, and gaming experiences accelerated, Japanese rights holders began exploring international live entertainment opportunities. But launching sustainable global projects required navigating major cultural and operational differences across production, partnerships, licensing, and audience expectations.
Our Role
Akuntsu supported clients including Sony Music Solutions in bridging the gap between Japanese IP holders and international markets. We facilitated relationships with global promoters and helped develop anime-themed live experiences including orchestra concerts and touring exhibitions. From rights discussions to production coordination and cross-cultural communication, Akuntsu helped align teams, expectations, and execution across every stage of development.
