Tokyo 2020 Ariake Urban Skatepark - Ceremonies Management
Challenge
Delivering ceremonies across Skateboarding and BMX disciplines at 2020 Summer Olympics Ariake Urban Sports Park required complex coordination between international teams, Olympic stakeholders, and local operations, all under the restrictions and uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our Task
Appointed as Ceremonies Manager, we led the production and operational delivery of ceremonies across multiple disciplines, including Skateboarding Street, Skateboarding Park, BMX Park, and BMX Racing. From pre-production phase through Games-time execution, we coordinated bilingually with the Tokyo 2020 Ceremonies Team, Olympic Broadcasting Services, venue staff, volunteers, and IOC advisors — maintaining alignment and delivery standards under rapidly changing conditions.
