Challenge
Launching a global sports brand in Japan required more than licensing. The real challenge was aligning international production standards, Japanese operations, communication styles, and stakeholder expectations across entirely different working cultures.
Our Task
Akuntsu was appointed to manage the bilingual coordination and operational relationship between X Games and the Japanese licensee from the project’s earliest stages. We facilitated cross-cultural communication, aligned production expectations, and remained embedded across every event cycle to support operational continuity and execution.Now entering its fifth consecutive edition, X Games Japan has grown into a sustainable annual event attracting more than 40,000 attendees per edition — demonstrating the long-term potential of globally aligned sports productions in Japan.

Akuntsu supports Japan–West live entertainment, sports, and cultural productions with bilingual operations, cultural fluency, and the infrastructure to keep everything moving.
